Great Granny Waterhouse is located 10 km out
of the town centre of Byron Bay.

The roar of the ocean can still be heard in the evening along with the animals living in the wild and on farms around Great Granny's.

The noises from the bush life include possums, kookaburras, echidnas, twany frog mouth owls, kangaroos, rosellas and frogs. Cows and horses also live in neighbouring paddocks.
